Obituary of Carolyn Teresa LaPointe

It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Teresa LaPointe announce her passing, which occurred on October 18, 2023, at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, NB. Born in Halifax, NS on January 21, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Leslie and Carole (Rogers) VanWart.

Carolyn is survived by her loving partner, Evan Munn of Sussex, NB; Stepfather, Roy VanWart; children: Daniel LaPointe (Jaclyn), Justin LaPointe (Melinda), Jessica LaPointe (Nathan); grandchildren: Lily, Liam and Leah; siblings Virginia VanWart (Wade), Janet Baglole, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Bruce Leslie.

Carolyn was the sweetest and cutest little girl; who was afraid of nothing.  She graduated from the Amherst Deaf School where she made friends and learned how to better communicate with others. Carolyn enjoyed doing word search and spending time with her gummy bear (her partner).  She also enjoyed playing games with her family and friends. She will be forever missed by all that knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, and will be held privately.
